Cathy Barrea

Owner and Head Trainer

Kirsten Priebe was on a horse before she could walk and has spent more time in the saddle than out of it since that very first ride.

Kirsten specializes in the hunter/jumper discipline with emphasis on horse safety and horsemanship. Her program aims to prepare riders and horses for competition in the Hunter, Jumper and Equitation rings.

Kirsten starts, and brings along many horses in a program specific to each horses needs, recognizing every horse as an individual. Training spots for both horses and riders are available.

In her 22 years of riding Arabians, Half-Arabians and Saddlebreds, Tessa has earned multiple Class A, Regional and National Championships in Western, Hunt, and Saddle Seat.

Her years of experience as a student and lesson instructor make her a perfect fit in the skill development of riders, age 5 and up. Her years as a competitor allow her to help riders set individual goals to show horses from the academy to national show ring. Her instruction approach is focused on skills building in a fun, safe, goal-oriented environment.

Tessa’s extensive experience in the training of horses from initial groundwork to finished national quality show horses allows her the ability to develop horses at any level. Her training approach is individualized to the horse, integrating the horse’s natural ability with the owner’s goals.
